The Happiest Animal on Earth. Our Bush Buddy Quokka is our mascot for Happiness! The Quokka is one of the smallest wallabies. This marsupial has the ability to climb trees.

The word “Quokka” is derived from a Nyungar (Australian aboriginal language) word, which was probably gwaga. A quokka is about the size of a domestic cat (Body length: 40-54cm, tail: 25-31cm), with a face similar to a mouse, but it’s actually a close cousin of the kangaroo. Quokka is a very friendly wildlife, it loves approaching tourists and take a selfie with a big smile. People call it a bonafide heart-melter!

The best place to take a selfie with quokka is in Rottnest Island, off the coast of Western Australia.

Like most macropods, quokkas eat many types of vegetation, including grasses and leaves. Never feed them with human food, they get their water from the vegetation they eat.
